COLORA's history dates back almost a century ago.

The company was established in 1926 in Thessaloniki with the expertise that Alexandros Apostolidis brought from Constantinople, where he started his textile business.

COLORA is a family-owned business with 120 employees & executives and a modern management style.

Our vision extends beyond the Greek borders as we are serving hundreds of foreign clients.

COLORA is monitoring and adopting all the latest advances in textile technology.

We invest in people, technology and long-term client relationships -we are determined to expand further in this direction.

Here come the turning points in the history of COLORA...

1926

THE FOUNDATION...

The company was established in 1926 in Thessaloniki with the expertise that Alexandros Apostolidis brought from Constantinople, where he started his textile business.
1931

KONSTANTINOUPOLEOS STREET...

The first relocation took place in 1931. The company's new location is at Konstantinoupoleos Street, where it operated for 38 years until 1969
1945

CHARILAOS APOSTOLIDIS...

The company is built up again after the War. Charilaos Apostolidis, the founder's son, is gradually assuming his managerial role.
1950

NEW BRANCHES...

New branches open around Thessaloniki. At the same time, textiles are becoming the company's core business.
1960

A. APOSTOLIDIS & SON...

The company's name and scheme evolve into "A. Apostolidis & Son S.A." The firm's operations concentrate on textile processing solely while garment dyeing and cleaning come to an end.
1969

THERMI RELOCATION...

A new relocation takes place in 1969. The company moves away from the city and settles in Thermi. The new facilities are significantly bigger and much more modern.
1981

ALEXANDROS & GIANNIS APOSTOLIDIS

The company expands further with new buildings and equipment. Capacity doubles. The 2 sons of Charilaos Apostolidis, Alexandros and Yannis, enter the business.
1985

NEW COMPANY NAME...

The current company name, COLORA S.A., is adopted in 1985.
1990

FURTHER EXPANSION...

The company continues to expand its buildings and invest in new equipment. The modernization process includes fully automated dyeing machines.
2001

A NEW MAJOR INVESTMENT...

In 2001 COLORA S.A. streamlines production by heavily investing in modern machinery and introducing a new plant specializing in open elastic fabrics.
2002

NEW PRINTING MILL...

A new fully-automated printing mill is introduced. Additional modern machines are installed in new buildings.
2011

INKJET TECHNOLOGY...

COLORA acquires the first industrial digital printing machine in Greece.
2016-18

CONTINUOUS INVESTMENTS...

The construction of a new building complex is underway together with new investments in modern machinery.
